  1. Just to add insult to injury (although it may actually be a blessing in disguise) but now I've got the flu. Wife got it first over the weekend, and of course now I picked it up. She's still home sick, so I guess I have a few days of feeling like I was hit by a freight train. This sucks...
  2. Pretty incredible... Check out this downtown Houston camera.
  3. I'm at -4, but down by my work it's -15 there, too.
  4. Halfway between our work shop and the well we load at. This was at 11:45pm on my way home in the Jeep.
  5. -1 at my loading location in Snyders which is 8 miles south of Tamaqua.
  6. Down to -5 for you now. This is one time I'm not going to complain about you showing me up...lol
  7. Single digits this morning. Currently 9 degrees.
  8. I got 6 and 6.25 in more sheltered locations. I guess I'll officially go with 6" at this point unless anything significant falls later. Nice event overall, and some of the heaviest rates I've seen in years. Now, bring on spring...
  9. I'm at 5.5", but I'm wondering if wind didn't shave some off the top. I'm going try to find a more sheltered location and try again after supper.
  10. We've tapered off a bit now, but still moderate.
  11. Put your mailing address on them and if I can catch them, I'll send them back...
  12. So far with heavy bands pivoting up and in for at least a couple more hours.
  13. Ripping good here. Perhaps 1/8 mile visibility currently. The treeline beyond the houses on the right, barely visible in the pic, are a half block away.
  14. Was just going to say, our winds are starting to pick up, and now flake size is increasing as the intensity is picking up. I think we got ourselves a storm now. Temp 23.2
  15. Just measured 2" in the backyard. Flake size back to almost pixie dust again, though. Looks like we'll get some heavier banding coming through in the next few hours though. Temp continues to drop. Down to 23.9 now.
  16. Got about an inch so far. Haven't actually measured yet, but everything has caved, and snowing at a pretty good rate now too. Temp 24.6
  17. I've noticed that too. The sun just feels hotter on my skin than it used to. I wonder if age and thinning skin plays a part in that, though.
  18. Much heavier, although finer, snow coming down now. Anything that wasn't previously salted has now caved. Temp 26.8
  19. They do. https://www.511pa.com/#:Alerts
  20. Temp is dropping like a rock now. Down nearly one full degree since my last post 10 minutes ago. Went from 28.4 to 27.5
  21. I'm at 28.4 and yet the snow is having a hard time accumulating even on my Jeep which has not been run yet today. Is it me, or is solar radiation stronger now than it was, say 30+ years ago? I don't remember snow having such a hard time accumulating at sub 30 degree temperatures back in the days of my youth.
  22. I hope so. Sometimes sky conditions fortel what's to come. I remember a good number of years ago where the day prior, we were sitting on the edge of a cirrus deck that had blue skies to the north and west and clouds to the south and east. We ended up getting 2" out of a warned storm where Allentown and points south got double digit totals.
