  1. All is not lost though, GFS does have a nice Spring rain on tap for Sunday!
  2. That's 9" more than we got all weekend. And puts them within spitting distance of our seasonal snowfall around here. This winter is rockin'!
  3. Usually, i'd ride with the Euro camp but as the last 2 years have shown us, expect the worst and still be ready to be disappointed. Just had a Ross Perot moment...literally just saw 5 black helicopters flying south at low altitude almost over my house. Wondering if this means spring is right around the corner?
  4. Quick look at 00Z GooFuS. Not gonna lie...vomit inducing for much of CNY. Better hope that doesn't play out.
  5. Yeah, smart move by Bills to just run the ball in 2nd half. Fortunately they were able to do it. All 3 of Allen's INTs were basically on him. Get that Dome built LOL!
  6. We used to get decent LES here but not the past 3 winters. Regardless, the more reliable LES is north of here or now W and SW of here. I don't take any NWP seriously until inside 72 hrs. It's mostly crap beyond that, other than seeing large scale pattern trends.
  7. Josh Allen...apparently not a cold weather QB. Better pull his head out in 2nd Half...
  8. Fear not, we will sublimate away the weekly heavy dusting in a day or so!
  9. Those official temps being consistently too high at KBUF (and SYR). doesn't inspire confidence in the data.
  10. Blacksburg's AFD does discuss it more than the last one I read out of Sterlin VA, but I think they are figuring warm sfc temps will limit accumulations and the timing of changeover is tricky, etc etc.
  11. I was surprised at the AFDs basically blowing off the GFS without a whole lot of reservation. They've been basking in record high temps in the 70s down there so maybe that's a factor.
  12. At some point, you would think they might attempt to figure out what's going on, esp since are using that data to make statements about record warmth. Same out in Buffalo.
  13. So while we are staring at thermometers waiting for the pot to boil, so to to speak, I observed this. Again.
  14. I dont think it's a general soil thing here. It has been unusually wet for months so my property's extra soft underfoot. I also think that the frequent overcast limits drying from the sun in winter, even with bare ground.
  15. NWS not buying GFS down there...AFDs thinking minimal snowfall for most of that area.
  16. Big slug of rain heading NE from Ohio. Soon, sand bags will be needed
