It's still early, like the 1st Quarter of the game, but KSYR getting blitzed hard for the Golden Snowball. Gonna need to make some halftime adjustments or we gonna get blown the f*ck out like the NY Giants.

Well, FWIW, around here, this December shaping up quite similar to last year. Which wasn't good for snow, and seems to remind of many similar ones in past decade. Less than 2" snowcover for the entire month last year, other than a 3-4" snowfall that hung around a couple days around 12/7 and then we had a stick save 5.5" Xmas eve into Xmas morning. After that, nada. This year, Ol Man Winter did us a solid to start the month but we've been bleeding out ever since.

We are at "de minimis" level of snow here. A flew flurries flying. I've resorted to perusing the backwaters of extended range models for any snow prior to Xmas. Mostly a dumpster fire, which is may be a good sign.

I thought maybe it was my $1,000 phone that was screwing up, or cookies needed erased. But before I went there i saw KBGM was updating, so it was the multi million dollar radar site, or possibly an IT problem...which may be the case as enterprise IT is usually the root of most evil in the world today.

Pretty solid dusting of snow here. Maybe 0.1" if I'm feeling generous. KBGM was spot on for no. Onondaga cty. It is windy and sh*tty cold out though, so we have that going for us. Which is nice. Thinking of washing the car tomorrow or friday. The next two rainstorms should undo the megatons of salt thrown on the roads in Clay for the 15 minutes of snow we received.

A lot of "New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible..." in your forecast starting today... but the vaunted KBUF map has you in the 4-6" range. Personally, i'd take the under...

We were saved by a literal last minute localized LES or hybrid thing IMBY last Xmas eve. Was several inches as I recall. At least we have more of a chance of that sort of white Xmas pop-up salvation than most areas...

Bring on the WNW flow. We never get titanic totals here but 2-6" always appreciated. The prolonged SW or W flow events are usually non-event here. 12Z GFS absolutely gruesome. Next 3 synoptic systems all rain events. So till at least mid month it's pretty much looking like a yawner, per GFS.

Glad to see the ALB area finally getting a biggie sized snowstorm. Hopefully reversion to mean occurs going forward over the next decade plus.

Interstate 88 seems to be the focus of the best returns most of today. Looks like the better forcing and precip is just east of us and dries out as it rotates to our doorstep.

Discount Double Check is not a cold weather guy. Born and raised in Cali (and Oregon) and played CFB there also. People used to say Favre was a cold weather QB also...and he was from freaking Mississippi. The day the Giants beat Favre in the NFC Championship game in zero degree weather, Favre looked like it was the last place in the world he wanted to be.

Exactly. Two Yuge "must lose" matches upcoming against the Deadskins and Dolphins. Yesterday was a perfect day for the Giants draft with all the sh*tty teams winning, other than us. We are even in the game for #1 overall with the Bungles beating the NY Mess. I was a little concerned yesterday that the snow in NJ might have thrown Rogers off but fortunately the warm nose did its job.

I was bang on 10:1 for Part 2 and around 0.6:1 for Part 1, with the sleet. Its a sad day when I have to tip my cap to the Kuchera method.

Just measured, 10 1" storm total with 1.35" liquid. From a qpf/snowfall standpoint, the GFS did a reasonable job of depicting the low ratios the day before on one of the runs I looked at. (Snow depth increase vs 10:1 snowfall).

Just measured again at 1030. Fresh 3" since i cleared the board at 3pm. Total of 6.5" here thusfar.

i stay away from models on game days. Fortunately Wolfie keeps us appraised of some of them during storms.

we have snow of varying intensities going on. Occasionally heavy, mostly moderate rate.
