  1. Agree with all of that although the 12Z Euro had some quite cold air over the eastern US following next weeks storm. And not a one and done for duration...frankly we probably stand a better chance of decent LES outbreaks than we do synoptic...if the mean storm track remains persistent.
  2. Feb 13-14 2007 was the famed VD 2.0 Snowstorm. Which was followed by a decent LES or hybrid LES event as I recall. Notably, IIRC, the infamous 100" of snow in a week in Oswego and Jefferson counties was a week or so prior to this storm...which was set up by early winter mild conditions keeping lake temps Above Normal for Feb. I'll eat sh*t and bark at the moon if we pull that off this winter.
  3. A little light lake effect still going on. Hopefully it continues so I can log 0.1" snow instead of T. We'll get to 100" the hard way if we have to.
  4. Temps marginal on the Euro for next week's main storm but we've been dealing with that all season. Rather have the Euro on our side than GooFuS. Notably, Euro turns it pretty cold after next Thursdays storm, for several days....
  5. I just passed 70" for the season! ERKSg5IWkAESTKd.mp4
  6. Agreed. NWS BGM and BUF forecasted this area very well. I'm the 7.5" total on that map. Pretty well clustered near me.
  7. It'll be like you never left! Cutters and mild spells. Got any other vacation getaways planned before end of March?
  8. Welp, ended up just shy of 8"...7-3/4" to be precise. LE was 0.38" so ratio was 19.7:1 for those keeping score.
  9. There's no way we stay under a foot if this keeps up. I was at around 6" a couple hours ago. Those nice yellow and orange cells are aligned right towards us also... Where's Matt?? LoooooL
  10. We're about to get crushed again. This should be fun. Update, really getting it now. Heaviest rate of the night. Vis well under 0.25 miles. Probably half that.
  11. Snowing pretty good. Band is slightly cellular. Would be nice if that improves.
  12. I just measured 2.1"...not bad for about an hour or so of snow. Maybe it was less than an hour...impressive but on the move...
  13. I'm north and a bit west of the GA Mall. Radar display shows snow just north of here. But picking up.
  14. Coating of snow here. Maybe a 1/4"? It is snowing though.
  15. Still downtown SYR, just flurries but radar sparking up at the homestead...
  16. Yeah, it's been awful down there. And here we are bitching about 60-70" so far this season. We suck.
  17. Also narrowed precip field a bit. Which is appropriate down here as LES is usually a narrow strip of measurable snow by the time its over. I'd put almost the whole band into So. Oswego cty.
  18. I wouldn't say forecast accuracy has improved that much since then.
