i am as ACATT as they come, but not this week. I really need to get some temps above freezing, as my driveway is still glare ice from the shit last week, whatever day that was. I've been able to get away without having to sand/salt it, but it is terrifying walking on it right now. i took a little digger yesterday as I was cleaning the nuisance 1/2" off it (with the hope that the sun would melt it a bit). So far all that the sun is doing is melting the top layer just enough so it melts then refreezes to an even smoother surface then it was.

before 2018, i averaged ~2 double digits storms per year. Since then i have had 5 in the last 8 years. 1/4/18, 12/17/20, 1/23/23, 3/4/23, 3/14/23 it's no coincidence that the winter of 2022-2023 was my only above-average snowfall season in that 8 years.

colder than normal here, but December snow has been perfectly average. 16” avg Dec, 16.5” MTD. If not for that warm Rainer a week or so ago I would be perfectly content and able to ride the local trails.

I guess I’m not sure that I agree with your grading, but as I type this I’m not sure you were that far off with your grade. C+ maybe?

just started snowing here at MHT. pretty light, but some nice fluffy flakes. currently at ~12" MTD, just shy of my 19 year December average of 16". maybe this weekend will get me to average.
