  1. i remember having a very nice snow pack in early March, then it must have torched because i also remember it disappearing quickly.
  2. I was sort of looking in Feb, and there was plenty of inventory for what I wanted. i kept my eye on it and noticed that inventory was getting depleted quickly. my old Truck forced my hand, as I needed to put $5k into it, which I was not going to do for a 10 year old truck, so I ended up getting lucky and finding exactly what I was looking for in mid-March. when all was said and done, I paid $8k under sticker. like I said, I got lucky.
  3. we take. Had a great Dec and Jan, but Feb was just OK with 14". bump that up a tad and we don't complain
  4. i bought a new truck recently. was pre-approved through my bank for 2.15%. Dealer gave me $1500 off to take their financing at 2.25%. cost me $1 more/month ($600 total) and saved me $900. no brainer
  5. i have a couple Sun Joe products (mini battery powered snowblower, battery powered compressor). have no complaints about either. What are you going to use to overseed?
  6. they have been talking about adding that exit literally since the early 90's.
  7. Beer? most of the time warm and humid? I'll give you the humid part, but mostly warm days is flat out wrong. I'll also give you that there has been no cool and dry weather. There have been very few (4) dry days, however the cool days have outnumbered the HHH days. At mi casa, of the 19 days of July, i have had measurable precip on 15 days (79%). assuming my daily average high is around 80, i have had 9 days below normal, 8 days above, and 2 right around normal. Also, assuming 70 is the average daily temp, i have had 10 below normal, 6 days above, and 3 right around normal. I mean, my average temp on July 3 was 56 (14 degrees BN). Prime time summer indeed.
  8. i honestly think you have been lucky south of the pike with temps. my high yesterday was 72.yes, Sat was a good enough day, mid-80's and plenty humid. But up here, those days have been few and far between.
  9. i know DIT and especially the Troll Tiger say they love the dewy weather, but there is no way either of them are enjoying this. Outside activities, particularly on the weekends, have been mostly a fail.
  10. we can debate dews and heat etc all day long. BUT your comment is undebatable. it's been horrific, and there is no way it can be sugar coated
  11. yesterday turned out to be a decent day. No rain but quite humid. didn’t start raining until about 8pm. ended up with 2.5”, up to a foot since June 30
  12. you would be amazed at the tight spaces those little f-ers can get into. they can squeeze through a hole the size of a dime. They have no collar bone, so they can get through a hole the diameter of their head.
  13. Tippy, @Typhoon Tipi just install my ACs right on top of the replacement window ledge. the little lip/hump on the bottom of the AC unit sits just outside the ledge that you have. the window on top holds it in place just fine. I wedge a piece of wood between the top of the bottom window sash and the bottom of the frame to make it so the window can't open. kind of like @Supernovicestated. Keep it simple.
  14. i think you are thinking of the last week of June
  15. I've had rain on 11 of the first 13 days, and the two days that it didn't rain were cloudy. aside from an hour or 2 with sunshine here or there, it's been crap. No way to spin that. i think the last true sunny day we had was Tuesday 6/29. Avg temp in June was 71.4. So far July is 66.4
  16. why is this even news? it should be very well-known that the vaccines, although very effective at preventing covid, are not 100% effective. Break through cases are going to happen. with or without vaccines, covid isn't going away anytime soon.
  17. mine has not run since June 30. either the rain sensor has been on, rain skips, or manual skips (I don't always trust the rain skips)
  18. you could be right, in fact I could see it being within +/- 1 degree of normal. aside from BDL, I don’t see us being much above normal. I don’t see any crazy heat forecasted for BOS north for the next week or so.
  19. 1.7" today, just over 7" MTD. that's a lot of rain for July.
