  1. i own several guns which I bought here in NH. when I bought the first one, I had to wait a couple weeks to get it, presumably to do some kind of background check i guess. the next couple i was in and out of the story with in a couple of hours. no license, no permit, no safety course, and I can carry however i please (but i don't carry unless i am going to the range, in which case the guns are locked up and unloaded in a case in the back seat). I went to the gun show in Concord this past saturday, and i could have walked out the door with pretty much any kind of gun and ammo. there are no background checks required, which is asinine. all that said, I would have zero problem with much stricter regulations
  2. isn't that the kind of damage that you live for?
  3. my dew has been in mid-sixties since yesterday. it definitely feels humid here today
  4. yeah as others said you can open window but can’t do anything with the screen. I didn’t open my window once last year, so that feature is virtually useless for me. Still love the Midea though, it’s real efficient and super quiet. I wish they made a smaller one I could put in my bedroom, 8k btu is too much
  5. you just got an inch of rain last week. I think you’ll be ok
  6. i got one of those last year, the 10k version. it is so much quieter than a standard ac unit, and works great. It might sound silly, but you will love the extra light you get, especially on the sides of it.
  7. 85/65 here. i hate humidity, but my uber-dry skin is thankful for it right now. my hands have been like sandpaper for the last 6 months
  8. sooooo, does he not own a hose or have any kind of water supply?
  9. dense fog down here, but it burned off pretty quick. that fukkin guy is obsessed. it's really strange
  10. i bottomed out at 31.3 just after 6AM, with a little bit of frost on the grass. up to 60 already
  11. enjoy this beautiful weather outside. go ahead, I dare ya. and then the black flies will carry you away. today was hellacious for the little ****ers
  12. ever since the Station nightclub fire, i take a close look around for emergency exits pretty much anywhere i go, especially hotels. If I am on an upper floor of a hotel, i make it a point to take the stairs anytime i go down, just so i am familiar with how to get to them and how to get out from there.
  13. again, that part of the building did not have sprinklers, nor were they required by code. Source no, I don't work for the hotel, i have nothing to do with it. i am just not a fan of internet speculation and misinformation
  14. uh, maybe you missed it, but google "Station nightclub fire". And for something more recent, google "San Jose Home Depot Fire".
  15. honest question: how do you know that inspections were not performed? source?
  16. Mr. Judge and jury, when you made the determination that the sprinklers were not working, did you know that the building was grandfathered, and did not require sprinklers? (although i agree that any commercial space should have them regardless). when you determined that the smoke alarms were not working, did you consider possible reasons? Is it not possible that the alarms systems were maintained appropriately, however due to unforeseen circumstances did not work? or did you just jump to negligence without considering other factors? i mean, you could be right. but don’t you think that maybe there are facts that you don’t know? however with all that said I also agree that the lawyers are probably lined up for potential litigation
  17. I don't get the "free speech" angle being discussed. there is no such thing as free speech on social media. they are private companies that are not controlled by the gov't. When you post stuff on any social media platform, you have to obey their terms of service, which you agree to when you sign up. and those companies can put pretty much anything they want in their TOS.
  18. treat it. then treat it again. once you are sure the population has gone done, fire up a rototiller and start fresh.
  19. you are correct, but I think it's the other way around-more people from other areas (MA, CT, RI, NY) own second homes in NH, VT, ME. but those aren't snowbirds per se.
