i had a somewhat similar experience in Huntington Beach when I was 14. was surfing having a great day. was getting tired so i was heading to the shore. got off my board to walk in the waist-deep water and got washed out by a huge wave. as i was getting up, got hit again and started getting pulled out/under and my quads started cramping up. i literally could not get up. fortunately my sister and a couple friends were there to haul me out. if not for them, i would probably still be out there

there is 0% chance that Stein isn't mentioned. if we get 2 days without any precip, people on here will be talking about him again. Oh, and the next "drought" monitor comes out tommorow, and it won't include the rain from today. so Stein will live on

it was kind of funny, i woke up at around 2:30 to take a leak. looked out the window and it hadn't rained yet. Radar didn't look like it had much heading my way. must have poured in the 30 mins or so while i was snoring

i was a bit sad when i went off to college, but in reality i could not get out of the house fast enough. Party Time! then i was home for a weekend a few weeks later. unless they are going to a school really far away, they will be back for a visit before you know it. of course, they will be wicked hungover, and have enough dirty laundry to clothe a small village for mom to take care of.

got lucky last night and ended up around 1" of rain. 3" in june, 3" in july, and 2" MTD. got lucky with a few t-storms. dry, but no desert here

Labor day weekend is the perfect weekend to do it. nights are getting cooler, days are stil nice and warm to grow grass. although down were you are in the banana belt you could get away with it 1-2 weeks later. i do mine early so it has a chance to grow before leaf sucking season
