  3. pack is melting out quickly here near MHT. temp only 43, but sun just broke throuhg the fog
  4. that's my point. IDGAF if it rains, snows, or there is a meteor strike in NY/NJ. that these clowns continue to post in the NE subforum pretty much defeats the purpose of subforums. are the NE posters supposed to go to the NY NJ subforum and brag about having more snow? Last i knew that was frowned upon by the establishemnt. I already have some of them on ignore, and the list is growing.

  6. i heard the same thing yesterday morning and had the same thought-spring birds, whatever they are
  7. when the headline is "xx city had the warmest month on record!!!" that's the problem I am talking about because it is due to bad data
  8. 100% chance that little blue bullseye right over Taunton, MA verifies.
  9. calibrating an instrument that is used to measure to the tenths to +2/-2 is ridiculous. i know nothing about weather instruments, but know a little about scientific instruments, and can say for certain that that standard is just wrong. it should be like +0.5/-0.5 at worst. not to mention how much a 2.0 degree error can skew the whole CC argument one way or the other.
  10. dude-it has rained all the up through Pittsburg multiple times this season. they couldn't even open the snowmobile trails until late January (around the 20th) due to all the rain they got. i would say Pittsburg is prob around 50/50, and @dendrite is around 70/30 rain/snow for the season
  11. low of -15 for a few hours early morning. all the way up to 0 now
  12. he is from Rockland County, whereever that is-not in NE. he knows not of which he speaks.
  13. technically i had 4" Feb 2012. BUT 3" fell on 2/29 (leap day) so it doesn't really count
  14. high temp 29 at 4AM currently 12 degrees and dropping steadily

  16. then our friend will retweet it stating that you are wasting a valuable resource and likely to be causing future droughts.
  17. non-weather weenies have no clue about the temps tomorrow. i was in a meeting earlier and this one chick was saying how the high was going to be 19 tomorrow, so "not too cold". I didn't have the heart to tell her that unless she is awake at midnite, there ain't no way she will be seeing 19 degrees at any point tomorrow.
  18. yeah, I think that most snowmobilers are worried about that. @powderfreak it is much different than skiing. Ski areas can make snow to get through the lean stretches, and extend the season, but snowmobilers don't have that luxury. we need to get out there as often as we can while we have the opportunity, because the snowmobiling season can end on a dime. Trails are usualy pretty crazy once that first snowfall comes and trails get opened up.
  19. you guys all know that even if futility is in sight at the end of Feb into March, there will be a blue bomb to f.uck it all up.
