  1. I went several years ago. it’s a great time (when it’s not super wet and muddy)

  3. finished the month with a hair under 6” of rain. wet but not drenched
  4. sun was barely able to break through today. when it did it warmed up. but overall it was a cloudy, cool, seasonable day

  6. I saw two big wooly caterpillars over the weekend. One was all black with no brown stripe at all (crappy winter). The other was almost all brown with just a tip of black on both ends (good winter). They cancel each other out=average winter. Tons of acorns (good winter). Bee hives not high up but in the ground (crappy winter). They cancel each other out=average winter. that's my scientific analysis.

  8. got the yard work done. Had a little campfire going, then it started to sprinkle. After about an hour we had steady rain, but nothing crazy. enough to drive me back inside. High of 58. just a lovely fall day
  9. ever been to Marthas Vineyard? that place is seriously infested with skunks. Camped at the campground a few times in the past. once the sun goes down, they invade the campsites looking for scraps. but they never spray. i had one rubbing up against my legs one time, like it was a cat. it was hard to sit still lol
  10. so how is north of the MA/NH border looking for Saturday? asking for a friend who needs to get a ton of yard work done

  14. just over 2" yesterday, with about 1/2 of that coming in the second wave after 10pm.
  15. foliage season is over already? Man, Tolland truly is a magical place. leaves are still green up here.
  16. 59 degrees, 0.02” of rain. the trees are wiggling a little bit. Ooops I farted.
