    Yes, and radar returns appear to be drying up to our west. Just a bunch of sleet here.

    Mostly 1-2", but I'm a little skeptical some of that may be other "frozen" precip.

    Tonight's GFS looks similar to 12z Euro for snow around here. We'll see.

    I'm with you 100%. We never cash in well on deformation snows here in NWA. It'll be KC or STL.

    Totally agree MU. 5 yrs is a real trend not luck. Things do have to line up well for southern snows, but this is getting to historic levels for no 2+ inch snows, it usually lines up in that time frame at some point, but not now. Historic meaning since NWS records have been kept. Maybe it's happened before, who knows. I never saw this kind of stretch growing up in NE TX.

    I totally buy into this, been thinking this way for awhile now. This is not just bad luck, there are other much bigger factors in play here. The change is becoming very obvious.

    I've been looking at similar records for here in NW AR and I don't see anything remotely close to this current snow drought. Been going here since the 14-15 winter, our last decent one. The last time we saw a snow greater than 2" was March 4, 2015, working toward 5 yrs now. So, yes, unbelievable and very frustrating as as snow lover. I'm not very hopeful for Jan and Feb at this point.

    This is insanity. Before long they're gonna just white out our region like S Florida, as in dont waste ur time tracking it never happens lol.

    That's a pretty strong arctic front. There should be some kind of wave associated with it, at least some mood flurries.

    Yah not slamming ur post, just wanted to get my opinion out there lol. The 4 yr drought is about to end with a vengeance!

    I don't care what long term models say this winter. The pattern is set up beautiful for many of us now. Cold systems every week or so. I don't like seeing a lot of cold and ice early, but just remember, the pattern in November the winter will remember.

    Still on the table for next Monday morning per GFS. 2-4 inches across a lot of the area.
