  1. It’s been the most stubborn model for days now. Hopefully it’s in the right ballpark, at least.
  2. The GFS has been spitting out some weird precip field solutions. Color me skeptical, it seems confused with these wild jumps.
  3. That snowfall signature definitely screams surface wrong. PSU probably likes where he’s at for this one.
  4. Thanks for noticing, Art. Happy New Year, all! Here’s to a snowy start to 2024!
  5. Not sure whether to be happy I'm in the "10%" range, or just depressed with everyone else. So many feels...
  6. Warm/wet all day. The trends don't end until they do.
  7. Just keep in mind that the "snow" in that film was actually asbestos powder....which at this point is probably far more likely to fall from the sky than snow in this abysmal winter.
  8. If this thing had started as a Jacksonville snow storm, we'd still be fringed by now with how far it's moved north.
  9. They're not superstitious, but I think they're a little stitious.
  10. Woke up to some styrofoam pebbles on my car. Some of the driest stuff I've ever seen, but a welcome sight none the less.
  11. I would say even those of us NW of the cities are on life support at this point. Trends are not our friends (this season).
  12. Speak for yourself. I actually used the term “fecal blinds” in a conversation this afternoon.
  13. That looks like an...interesting output. Can someone explain how something like that would even evolve?
  14. 5.8F, -15 wind chill. Getting routine gusts above 30mph. Walked out to get the mail, took my breath away. Nasty out there.
  15. Looking like Christmas up on the M/D. A little over an inch on the ground and light snow still falling, nice fatties. 30.8F. Going to suck later when this all washes away.
  16. It amazes me that more people haven’t blocked him (and a couple of others) by now.
  17. New way to fail around here with snow maps: temporal resolution problems. As if we needed another one.
  18. Given the early differences between the GFS and Euro, we should get a fold-em soon from one of them, correct?
  19. Snow squalls at work in Hagerstown were for real. Some stickage on grass and mulch.
  20. This is definitely the right season to bet against our area getting those sorts of totals out of a storm like this.
