Not far from you. About the same. Kinda disappointed, tbh. Went for a Jebwalk at 6:30 as the snow turned to sleet. Pup still loved it. Hoping for an over performing Part II.

Sweet mercy sakes alive. Let's GO!!

Is the storm coming in quicker than originally forecast? NWS updated their timing and it looks like 3-4 hours earlier than what they had shown yesterday. Would appreciate the insight - we have events that go until 7pm tonight in Dulles and it will be right on the edge of the beginning of snow, based on the latest maps.

Pouring snow in South Leesburg (just off Rwy 30 at Dulles). Should i call it the “Southern Airways” effect? #toosoon?
-
And as soon as I posted this, it starts puking snow. Nice heavy band over us.
-
Perfect night for the pup’s first Jebwalk. South Leesburg, 6 miles off Rwy 30 at KIAD. Light snow. Didn’t measure.
-
It’s really cold. The bottom weather strip/trim of my garage door stuck to the ground and pulled off the door when I got home tonight. Came back from friends’ farm north of Leesburg - it was brutally cold and windy - so much wind that it was blowing cold air down the furnace exhaust. .
-
Front just hit. Rain for now, but looks like some frozen precipitation mixed in. I’m south of Leesburg, 6 miles NW of runway 30 at IAD. Getting ready for the wind and bitter cold.
-
Just began to sleet south of Leesburg - and now sounds like it stopped after about 5 minutes. Didn’t get any snow overnight.

Blowing like I haven’t seen in a while. This is an amazing storm and so happy to have real snow back. Normally would be at work, but recovering from COVID so….SNOW DAY! South of Leesburg; 6 mi NW of IAD.
-
Rates have def picked up. The sleet is heavy enough you can see it falling - like a decent rainstorm. And the occasional flak mixed in. But 98% sleet still. S of Leesburg, NW of Dulles.
-
Anyone in Front Royal / Strasburg/ etc under the heavy stuff? If so, what’s falling? I’m in south leesburg. All sleet. .

Biggest flakes I have EVER seen. It’s insane. And gorgeous. South of Leesburg near Gilbert’s Corner. .
-
Tiniest of spitting snow in Middleburg. It’s also cold and a touch of breeze. I have no official temp or weather station. .
