  1. Uh oh. Back up to 33.2° after hitting 32.8°. Maybe we can melt most of thison contact.
  2. I’ve come to your dark side. Lots of snow? Great. None at all? Even better.
  3. Nothing says deep winter like weak southerly flow mood snow over the interior in January.
  4. I wasn’t able to fix my snowblower yet so I’ll be shoveling 12-2am. Happy New Year to me. Part of me is cheering on a fail now. Pushing 2” on this ice will go relatively quickly.
  5. I’m not. leading edge sleet in these situations happens quite a bit when midlevels are moistening up and still somewhat cold. It even happens with 2m temps over 40° sometimes.
  6. 18z NAM was more marginal here a couple hours earlier than previous runs. GFS is still cold through 5-6z. I may actually get out there and clear the snow after midnight since I’ll be up anyway. I don’t feel like shoveling glop at 6am.
  7. GYX is about 3-4" here. Sounds reasonable. Before seeing their maps I was thinking 3-5".
  8. I wonder if the coldest high temp for a winter ever occurred in November. My 13F on 11/22 may be tough to beat if we start punting the chance for any high end cold through much of January.
  9. Ray will flip his lid when he sees this thread.
  10. Looks like we'll get that annoying 0C 850 line out of the country for a bit.
  11. Kevin goes to bed so early the 00z runs don't get his data. 12z injests it.
  12. Will be really thrilling to watch if it doesn’t propagate down to the tropo.
  13. GFS trended toward it and the Ukie buries it more.
