Years of chasing a -NAO in the cruiser every night and after a couple weeks of failure he beats it down with the billy club.

What a stretch that was. I just checked out the COOP forms up here and although we only had 11" in that we had 12.5" a few days later on 1/14. Then we had 15" in the blizz and only a 1/2" the rest of the month.

We do that a lot nowadays. More wv in the air and more clouds. Torched mins and slightly AN max temps.

Not a classic inv trough, but that strong DPVA coming through with the upper level vortmax does converge winds a bit at the sfc. Like Scoot said, probably some SHSN as things destabilize a bit.

It’s been an awesome winter so far. No arctic cold. A 3ft snow event that torched away in a week. And no other meaningful events. Two thumbs up so far.
