  1. Probably a $3000 sensor that can't read -40F
  2. A little rant, but you would think we could put temperature sensors that can get below -40F at the AWOS sites in northern latitudes. A lot of these sites petered out in the middle of the night after hitting -39F.
  3. Ahh I forgot about Fakersville.
  4. Is this torch, that I’m feeling? Is this the torch, that I’ve been searching for?
  5. Has to be diamond dust at that temp. -6.5° here and I can hear the wind howling at times. Not quite the -44° at INL though. I bet Embarrass and/or Tower hit -50°.
  6. Yeah...heat flux from the Great Lakes moderated the airmass a bit. Kinda cool to see the temps with the WSW CAA. Ann Arbor is -16° but the northern LP is in the lower single digits. BML is 5° while EEN is 2°.
  7. Wintry week next week for James... ...Bay
  8. Yeah this is real cold. I've been in near -30F with calm winds and it's tolerable. -25F with 20-30mph winds is another level.
  9. Meh...they typically suck outside of the western slopes. I would punt those frauds all day over here.
  10. I think the beams overshot the best echoes a bit out in GC over to EEN. Make up call from the ref.
  11. 1 mile is pretty obscene Can't wait for them to report a trace too since all of the snow will blow into the Atlantic.
  12. All of the RWIS stations around the notch are pounding...0.1-0.2 mile vis.
  13. I just finished the snow clean-up. I'm glad it was only a flurry here. The driveway remains clear.
  14. There's probably at least 1 naper in there.
  15. 4 straight days with 850s above 0C though for BTV-LEW-southward. Maybe this will reshuffle the deck.
  16. Although I don't like the d7 bd look. 60F for BDL while it's a grey 35F imby?
  17. That's a thaw and a half. I may have to sneak out and try to make some vitamin D.
  18. MWN went into that night with this... 211800Z 30049KT 45SM CLR M32/M36 A//// RMK SLPNO T13221356 When we can radiate near max efficiency while MWN is unsaturated, I find the valleys can drop down near that MWN dewpoint.
