That’s out of my league. I don’t follow enough severe out in the plains to answer that. I’m sure Chris or Hoosier would have a better idea. That bowing segment is out of control though.

To be fair they were probably using psychrometers back then too. I don’t even think AWOS uses the same sensor as ASOS. When dews start getting extreme they start to stray (70+ and under -20).

It's an AWOS...a little less accurate than ASOS...especially on those 75+ dews.

I will say METAR dews are def creeping up in NH. ASH 75 EEN 73 LCI 72 LEB 72 90/74 at FSO in VT too.

Better mixing at airports...less local evapotranspiration...and the humidity error for Sensirion sensors seem to increase in very high dew situations.
