I think dry has been referring to to dews...not necessarily precipitation.

Most of the warmth has come post cold frontal. When we try to build ridging and dews into the region we've been getting wedged. Rarely SNE has gotten in on the warm sectors, but even the one on Saturday had fairly low dews. My warmest daily min so far came in April (4/20 ironically). It'll come though and when it does we'll be hitting the beach and the pools. Until then we yardwork and nape.

They're north of CON too. (big patch near exit 17), but I haven't seen them flower yet this year. The state usually lets them flower and then mows them back after they drop seed. Eek gave me some lupines a few years ago, but aphids did a big number on them. No problems with the echinacea he gave me.

It's been a tough spring for the KV3 and the NODEWS. I'm looking forward to getting some legit mugginess in here though. The annuals are growing like shiat.

I'll add that it should be a law that every yard has a patch of wildflowers growing like that. Feed the beneficial insects.
