I don’t like losing in snowfall to DC-NYC while we get slopfests. I missed out on the Feb wind too. 11-12 had a monster anomalous event and was easy on the back from Dec through Feb. I don’t really care about keeping a glaciated pack older than one of pickle’s milfs all season.

With chickens...frigid temps + high RH = frostbite and possible death. Frigid temps + low RH = no problem. People worry about cold temps in their coops and close it all up to keep it warmer, but all it does is trap moisture inside. Those who know keep plenty of ventilation at the top of their coops without and drafts reaching the birds below. Gotta let that moisture out.

I had a lone bald faced hornet that hung out by my fig tree and run all summer and picked off houseflies and tore them to shreds. Never saw more than one at once and I have no clue where the nest was.

Nice over the top warm shot on the euro. That high tries to fight it off early week, but gets bullied out pretty easily. It's tough to avoid the warmth when James Bay torches. I could go for a few days of 85-90 for a last hurrah.

There must be some gene, or lack thereof, which makes it deadly for a small percentage. Figure those genes out and then you can get some DNA done and figure out if you're highly susceptible.
