  1. Everyone is competing with Hobby Lobby now for earliest Xmas decor since they moved into the old Shaw's building in Tilton. lol
  2. I think that stuff was out for 2 weeks and now it's pushed to the side.
  3. Still gotta worry about temps being too cold. I still love me some snow. It's just a PITA for me cleanup wise at least for the lengths I go to. So winter for me is a win-win or a lose-lose...depending on if your glass is half full or empty.
  4. Unless it’s a super nino I really don’t worry.
  5. Looks like a couple of torchy days here and then back to seasonably warm. So it's AN for a while, but nbd really. Great timing for a warmup.
  6. 43.4F min...BKN skies. MAV is down to 33F at CON. It seems to drop a degree every 6hrs. SFM with a sneaky 30F.
  7. Spring backdoors are a special kind of suck. Those are more cold ocean enhanced versus a dry air mass getting evapo cooled over a relatively warm ocean. But either way...N-NE is our most efficient CAA.
  8. I think it's mostly CC, warmer autumns, and wetter times. The 60s-80s were pretty dry and cold. CON had a lot of October 1st 32Fs back in the yore days so maybe we're just getting back to those levels after the cool baby boomer period. Even for last freezes...there were lots of Junes in that cool period, but only one before 1964. 9. Always have to be wary of those dust devils in SW ME.
  10. CON has actually had freezes 3x in August...1965, 1976, and 1986...not exactly yore. That 1965 one was 29°.
  11. Heck CON’s avg first freeze is 9/24. It was earlier during the 61-90 normals.
  12. That one is planning to take out James' power for the 10/21 Pats/Jets game.
  13. ineedsnow needs to stop tracking faux cane threats and worry about the snowiest October of our lives.
  14. This will be another ENE rad special with that low level cold nosing in from the NE from that high. Should be a lot of low to mid 30s in the cold spots. Maybe even low 40s on lava rock's hill.
  15. Euro op already has 2 cold fronts in the d7-10. So it'll be a warm 3-5 day stretch, but we'll still get mild down fronts to bring us back down to seasonable levels. It's tough to pull a neverending ridge this time of year. A CFL player farts in front of a doctor and it's enough to change the airmass.
  16. Already 54°. Should be a string of chilly mornings coming up. MAV is 37° at CON, TAN, and OWD for Thursday.
  17. Although that d9 would be pushing records. Didn’t look impressive initially from the ewall 24hr maps valid 12z. Obvi lalaland, and probably as realistic as those faux -30C euro cold shots that happen each winter.
  18. A few torch days of 16-18C 850s. Looks like that 2007 day was 18-19C. 1970 was 19C. 2017 was 17-19C. So that 16-18C probably gets you 83-85 at best at ORH. Tack on the usual offset for BOS, BDL, PVD etc.
  19. CON climo for 9/21 is 71/45. So we'd be looking at a 91/65 type day. From my count, CON has 9 91+ days from 9/21 onward in their ~160 year history. That includes 3 92s and 1 93F on 9/21. There's 9 days with mins > 65F from 9/21 onward. That 9/22-23/1970 torch is probably the closest it would be with today's normals...92/64 and 87/67 gets them near +20F. I know DIT is just throwing weenies around, but it got me curious to see what the chances are for it up here. Give it another month and the +20s probably get a little more common.
  20. Someone had a lot of time on their hands. This isn't even written by James. Category 7!
  21. Nights should be nice overall...especially for the radiators. Window fans will suffice. 80s are nbd in late Sep.
  22. Uninstalled and not scared. Will be nice.
