  1. Nice over the top warm shot on the euro. That high tries to fight it off early week, but gets bullied out pretty easily. It's tough to avoid the warmth when James Bay torches. I could go for a few days of 85-90 for a last hurrah.
  2. There must be some gene, or lack thereof, which makes it deadly for a small percentage. Figure those genes out and then you can get some DNA done and figure out if you're highly susceptible.
  3. Yeah I was tempted to flick the heat on the other day, but just toughed it out and then uninstalled instead.
  4. Op was warmer...probably still a few messy members in there in that d8-10 range. I think I'd lean on the warmer side though.
  5. Looks toasty. Maybe even low 80s up here.
  6. Probably more likely to die from chemicals leeching into your skin from sprays than from EEE.
  7. Yeah some people love to bury the root balls under a huge mound of dirt and mulch. I just plant the top level with the ground around it and then mulch it with a little bit of natural wood chips inside the perimeter of the dripline. Have you fertilized it this year? I’d probably spread some compost or aged manure around them later next spring.
  8. I just go out and don’t worry about it. If they’re to the point where I can’t get anything done I put my bug hat on and a light long sleeved tee.
  9. Wouldn't be surprised. I mean that's semi fantasy territory d8-10. We just wouldn't be super warm with that 1032mb high overhead and ~10C 850s. AN but warm days and seasonable nights. Of course it'll change 00z, we'll lose the high, and it'll be a blowtorch ridge.
  10. Meh warmth on the euro but it's close. We keep getting saved by weak s/w's to keep the real torch to our SW.
  11. Euro is way less torchy than previous runs. Sneaky high to our NE late week will try to undercut any WAA. Then we get a cutoff NE of us d8-10. We'll see if that proves to be fake news.
  12. CON around 42°, Suncook River HADS 40°, Bear Brook RAWS 39°.
  13. Yup...although EAB is spreading pretty quickly up here. Most of my ash trees are fairly healthy. There's elm yellows too. It's tough being a tree today.
  14. Dutch elm disease? The big ash killer is the emerald ash borer.
  15. To be fair that's a 588dm mean at the ridge axis over ASH.
  16. 9/24-/27 in 2017 was like 4-5 straight days of 18-19C 850s. That resulted in this here... 09/24 85.8 59.2 0.00 09/25 85.9 63.4 0.00 09/26 84.3 62.9 0.00 09/27 85.4 62.8 0.00 There were 4 straight days of record highs at CON. 91, 90, 90, 90. Needless to say, I think we'll be fine up here even with a few torch days. Just uninstalled, but I expect some window fan usage at night.
  17. Uninstalling today...should've a week or two ago. Up to 64F.
