  1. They should keep a stat for liquid equivalent in the form of snow/sleet. Basically the monthly precipitation with the RA and ZR filtered out. I know in the climo data of yore a lot of weenies separated the two out like that, but most just labeled any snowfall as 10:1. So you got a lot of 5" / 0.50" garbage.
  2. I don't get a lot of paste outside of the bookend portions of the season, but I get plenty of dense powder from all of the SWFEs. I kinda like that type of snow...it gives the feeling of powder, but it doesn't get cut in half 12hrs later nor sublimate away after the first glimpse of a BINOVC. For infrastructure effects, really it's just SWE that matters. I always laugh when a place near BUF gets like 50" of LES and within a few days the pack is like 6". Once the plows toss it to the side, 30" of 30:1 LES looks the same as 10" of 10:1 in the snowbanks and it doesn't take any more force for the plows to push it.
  3. I always kinda based that on water equiv. Basically 10” of 10:1 snow will eventually glaciate its way down to the equivalent of 3” of 3:1 sleet. Both would have the same 1.00” water equiv. It’s not a perfect relationship, but that’s always been my rough estimate. So 15” of snow should have more staying power than 3” sleet. There are some caveats though as fresh fluff has more exposed surface area so it can sublimate more quickly than solid ice can.
  4. I got the least snow but will have the most left this time next week.
  5. Yeah just saw vis. Blue bird afternoon up here. Glad we here. 35/26
  6. Beautiful day. Lots of sun and lots of melting. Drip drip.
  7. Looks a little like the Matterhorn.
  8. That’s a handcrafted, made in the USA, snow bank right there. All made in China this year.
  9. 1.6”/0.12” today. I think that adds up to 4.7”.
  10. A little glaciated from exit 17 to 13, but not bad with 4wd. That was at 6am too.
  11. Getting some steadier snow now. A decent band is just to our west so it's gliding in our way via NW flow under the beam.
  12. MHT with a 16" depth at 12z and that's OTG with settling. I'm sure they tacked on a couple more inches since.
  13. Parent’s house in S Hooksett. My dad estimated about 20”. Meanwhile we got a little over 3” lol.
  14. You beat me in both rounds. It looks to be doing the same thing at home. I saw some big flakes pop up on cam for a few minutes when that 30-35dBZ went trough, but nbd otherwise. Ill probably end up with under 4" total when all is said and done.
  15. Man. All of these convective elements are virga too. What a disastah. Congrats though guys and gals. Pretty epic for everyone south of here.
  16. Developing a lot of anger shoveling 10”+ in CON watching it pour dendritic fatties while it’s overcast a little bit north at home.
  17. Me? idk. We’re still kinda downsloping. I don’t even think it’s snowing at home right now based on cam.
  18. Drove through the band in CON. Must’ve been 1/4SM through the meat of it. Was just nuisance -SN until about the Penacook /Boscawen exit at 17. Only 0.4” new at home when I left. Quite the dud, but at least clean up is easy.
  19. I thought it looked good too. Nothing under 1/2sm at UUU, PVD, and EWB. I saw PSM was reporting -FZRASN and -SNPL overnight.
  20. I thought vis down there would be lower. Wet aggies down there or something? Reflectivity is really high.
  21. MHT had another 3”/hr ob last night with 16” otg as of 5am. Meanwhile up here we’ve probably sublimated to under 3”. I will probably end up on the bottom of the snow table. lol
