  1. May just run the AC and heat at the same time next week.
  2. Euro def drops that cold front south sooner next week. Looks like during the day on Wednesday...late day SNE.
  3. Same way middle schoolers used to get actual cigs?
  4. You could mulch widely and deeply around the oak and landscape it like you did the other tree in the background. Deep wood chips or mulch will conserve moisture within the crown perimeter of the tree. Maybe that'll keep the tree a little happier with fewer roots seeking out moisture. Southern exposed slopes are tough. Your pic looks like it's very sandy in spots...not exactly the look of very organic material. What if you planted some smaller trees around the edge of your driveway/lawn? Something like a few thornless sunburst honeylocusts that will give some shade to that area to conserve surface moisture.
  5. Trolled by cranky. Onto Margusity. Mets in seasons.
  6. Also...there's probably some MOS munching going on. MOS was crushed in the most recent torch. I think it was mostly upper 70s to low 80s until about 24hr before when it started to ramp up. I don't think it ever had 90+ though. Climo is getting factored in at this time range and it's going to keep trying to tame these anomalous torches just like it does in early spring if we melt the snow early and get a warm pattern.
  7. 93hr has 19C over BDL and 17-18C elsewhere. Lop 13-15C on top of that with sun and it's well into the 80s.
  8. I think I've had maybe 3 cigars and one puff of a joint in my life and that's it. lol Have never smoked a cig.
  9. Maybe your beloved heat ridge can bring us some ozone next week.
  10. I'd lean warmer...especially down there. Looks 85-90F to me at the hot spots. Then we try to nose a high in so maybe we mild down for a couple of days before we retorch it again. Records to start October are like mid/upper 80s at lower el sites so maybe we break a couple. 10/3 looks really vulnerable. That's getting a little far out there, but it's a warm look for sure. At least it's tolerable this time of year.
  11. A lot of studies show vaping leads to cv disease and high bp as well. I think it's a good tool to get off of actual cigs, but not a fan of people just deciding to try it recreationally. But yeah, kids will just go black market or start smoking cigs now.
  12. Euro tries to break heat records later next week as well.
  13. It has? Looks like a torch to me. It's like 18-19C 850s.
  14. Really wish they called it Townsend/Windham
  15. Man what a fropa on the end of that euro run.
  16. Some here like to cheer on ozone, haze, and PM2.5 in the summer.
  17. So nicotine addicted people are forced to ditch their vape for the obvious healthier choice which is regular cigarettes. Sounds reasonable.
  18. I mean the Davis rain rate is a bit of a weenie calculation anyway. I'm not sure what their sampling period is in relation to update intervals, but if I get a crazy downpour for like 45 seconds and get 3-4 tips during that period it'll start giving the extreme high rates briefly. It's just for shits and giggles that I post it. It wasn't even that much rain overall. Just 2-3 minutes of the sky gushing. Do the math here -- 0.03" * 60 only gets you 1.80". So that first 0.06" probably came in under a minute and then it tailed off. I probably got 2 or 3 of those tips in a 15s span or something.
