10" up here at the Franklin COOP for 12/31/71. So that must've been 12/30-31? Ob time was 8am.

07-08 pounded here. I don't have my records on hand, but CON had like 16-17". I think it was 2 systems with a brief gap in between. 10.1" on 12/31 and 6.5" on 1/1.

Wouldn't be too shocking with the ridge axis so far west. Some of these shortwaves skirting north of us will send some kind of cold boundary through. A lot of the H85 temp anomaly maps Dr Dewsh has been posting show near normal mid level temps for ENE. That can verify cool and messy for some with quick shots of shallow cold and overrunning events.

We had an icing event before the late Dec 2017 cold and the ice never melted off of anything. We lost it all slowly over a week or two strictly from sublimation.
