  1. I have some willows that really soak up the excess water. Eek suggested bald cypress to me once. That would be really good in a swampy location and the flare of the trunk can get pretty interesting near standing water.
  2. The cheat rule is +15C in summer so yeah, that gets you about 36C. I guess that’s not really a rule per se...just following a dry adiabat down to the sfc. With everything right like downsloping, solar peak, lower evapotranspiration, dry surface fuels, etc BDL, FIT, MHT, etc can pull +17C, but we’ve had a bit of a wet stretch recently. I just hedge toward slightly dewier than the afternoon mid 50s progs and thermodynamics keeps it a relatively “cooler” 97° vs 101°. Maybe we’re debating 59° vs 60° dews again since it’s hot either way and the heat indices wouldn’t really be different in either scenario.
  3. Late morning and BDL and ORH are 66°. We usually get the late morning bump as dew evaporates, but it’ll mix and dry out somewhat in the afternoon. Are you new here?
  4. I just think models have overdone the mixing a bit the last couple years during the bigger heat events. I just think we’ll see more 97/62 type obs on the high end rather than 101/54. Maybe BDL does a 98° or something, but I don’t think that would surprise anyone.
  5. I'll take the under on temps and that amount of mixing.
  6. Already 3F warmer than yesterday's high, but still below 70F.
  7. Tomorrow doesn't look that dewy. Probably 65-70 crap with 95-97 temps at the torch ASOS sites.
  8. O say does that bun-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the ween
  9. Kettlehead in my backyard is right off exit 19 on 93 and you can scoot back on at exit 20 in tilton. Just throwin another one out there. https://kettleheadbrewing.com
  10. I planted mine in early June of 2017. Then and 3 years later.
  11. I was thinking Rob Deer or Steve Balboni. Lol
  12. You’re on a Chris Davis slump right now.
  13. 62.1° off of a high of 62.4°. I think we had 5 days like this in July 09.
  14. I have like 25-30 bees at any one time on my bee balm patch right now.
  15. I don't really want to debate the probability of a 59F vs 60F dew over a tarmac though.
  16. Saturday won't be that humid. I could see Sunday muggier than progs.
  17. I’m tempted to purchase one of these. Flowering most of the summer with varying shades of different colors as they age...supposedly independent of any soil acidity amendments. https://www.wilsonbrosgardens.com/everlasting-revolution-hydrangea-3-gal.html
  18. Hoodies and blankets by the firepit. You hate to see it.
  19. Could be a morning/midday deal. We'll see how the timing goes. Wouldn't surprise me to see storms in VT into the overnight and dissipate our way...then everything refires S of us Monday. I haven't taken a deep look though.
  20. 2018 is not coming through that door...yet.
  21. Yeah Monday looks like the big dew day ahead of the front...probably a lot of 92/75 type crap until the convection arrives. Models have dews dropping in NNE by then.
  22. Even 56.4F down here. Just spitting showers and drizzle though.
