Back in the -NAO days of yore.

Kinda catching up after cleaning up the snow. First thing I saw when comparing the GFS and GGEM is what everyone else seems to have seen. That s/w cutting through QB from James Bay out ahead of the CONUS ULL is much faster on the GGEM than the GFS. It seems like we're able to get a little more CAA in here ahead of the ULL that way. That confluence and high get a little more established into Mooseville Maine. Of course, it's the GGEM at d6 so it's all fun and games while the anomaly correlation is under 90.

It'd be funny if we score in a spring pattern in January after cutters in a winter pattern.

That Northfield 2.8 guy is a weenie. Toss that 5.8”. The guy is always high and never matches everyone else’s ratios.

Up to 12.8° after a low of 10.8°. A bit nippy blowing snow.

0.5”/0.03” additional. 4.2”/0.45” final. Typical SWFE ratios in the end. Still only 11.9°.

3.7”/0.42” Crappy 9:1 ratios, but a nice dry snow regardless.

The next few hours it'll be decent rates and should be better growth. You can sell near 20:1 though.

It's a cold overrunning event. We're not even really discussing sleet or ZR with this one as it gets pinched off down in PA. So the radar has a cold snow look to the echoes. But it looks like full coverage of precip over the region with varying intensity. We've been saying from the beginning that this one doesn't have a lot of strong, prolonged forcing with it. But some will see 1"/hr around that 0-3z mark even if ratios are average at best. It's pretty much just been a few tenths in the can in W MA and CT over the past hour. Models ramp it up over the next few hours a bit so we'll see.

idk....that radar looks as advertised to me. What exactly are you expecting?

12.2F -SN Most of the best lift is below the DGZ, but there is some light lift extending up higher into that zone. So there will probably be a mix of crystals whenever the best lift moves over your head.
