  1. Some of those old COOP forms from the 1800s had an indoor temp with them. I always cringed when I saw January days with temps in the 40s and 50s inside while it was -20° outside. Glad we live here.
  2. Was half expecting this to happen at the end.
  3. That sucker picked the cows up, butchered them, and even marinated them.
  4. Based on the MADIS charts you could argue it's a solid 4F too warm.
  5. You can pin it down to the exact week and maybe find the day when it went haywire.
  6. It's really been feast or famine with the rain this summer...moreso than usual. 6/28-6/30 (3 days): 3.49" 8/29 (1 day): 1.58" 7/8 (1 day): 0.90" The remaining days from 5/16-8/30 (102 days): 3.21"
  7. The webbed fingers would explain why he's so concerned about drought though. Part amphibian?
  8. He’s getting in August what you got last January.
  9. 65.6° BKN skies Chilly with the 20-30mph gusts when it clouds up.
  10. 1.58” yesterday in the stratus.
  11. Fairly seasonable week up here. Warm days and cool nights to start the week. GFS and euro have some rain up here Thu with the WAA so we’ll see how that plays out. It’ll probably end up being well into the 80s even up here. Then it comes down to the FROPA and CAA timing Friday. Right now it looks like a COC day up here with falling 850s and 70s although it could be in the 80s if the front slows. With the frequent cold fronts now we start running the risk of turning these 1-2 days torches in to wet CAD days and then we pull a couple of COC days behind it with W-NW flow. So the warm colors aloft won’t always be translating to the sfc up here. BDL will probably pull 90° Thu and Fri though.
  12. 1.31” in the Stratus and 1.40” in the tipper. Time for a calibration.
  13. While I’m out with my birds in pants and a hoodie
  14. I grew to love pack living here. Everyone here has their winter thing. PF has the upslope, you guys have the biggies, I have the consistent mod/hvy events and pack, some have the elevation boost, some have the rad cooling, James has the wind...lol. As much as the pack drives me insane sometimes it can be good for the yard. Having 6”+ over the landscape DJFM can really help insulate the plants. The CAD wedges can get depressing though.
  15. High of 62 here unless we mix out later. lol
  16. 28th most prominent mountain in the CONUS. How many of those 28 have public roads up to the summit?
  17. Had 1.01" Aug 1-28 and then 1.35" this morning.
