  1. It's 5 days out...worth keeping an eye on. Goofus is like 0.75" of snow here Sat night. I'd sell it, but this has been an f'ed up month.
  2. I think all of the recent years are digital, but there's this link... https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/IPS/coop/coop.html
  3. Min 28F here...looks like 26F for CON. MOS is still a record for Thu morning with 17F. I think 12z had 16F. Hopefully it's one of those deals where they rad like mad and we stay a little mixed and like 5-10F warmer. Maybe we don't end up radiating much at all and it just ends up mid 20s with a breeze. Saw our first bear of the season overnight on camera too. It looked relatively younger than previous ones we've had.
  4. Closest for me was probably 5/6/96. We had some snow mixing in with the rain that day. And in 2013 we were practically pushing Lisa’s bday in June. lol
  5. I haven’t looked at a lot so I’d defer to Scoot, but the little I had seen the past couple days made me think maybe after d10-14? Some of the models were looking warmer around my b’day May 4th.
  6. My forsythia is just trying to open up this morning. A lot of trees have swelling buds, but the apple is fairly dormant here as well. Here’s a peach tree question that maybe @tamarack would know...if I chop back the central leader of a peach tree right in half and leave one original branch below it for this season (for photosynthesis), what are the odds I’ll get decent regrowth branching near the top to get a nicely shaped tree? The tree looks hideous so I may take a shot at it anyway. I know this method isn’t preferred, but I have seen a few people on YT try this with younger fruit trees. The diameter of the leader where I plan to cut back is probably an inch and a half diameter. There was some growth out of it last year even without any pruning.
  7. MEX is now down to 17° for CON on Thu morning. That would be the coldest for so late in the season which would be mighty impressive.
  8. So much for that. Overperformed today with 62.4F. Almost matched the 63F at CON...rare we match them for a high, but this is usually the time of year for it with no green up yet.
  9. Yeah I’m talking the daily average. I think CON is 59/34 and will end up with like a 63/23 today.
  10. A nice one, but below normal yet again. We’ve lowered our standards, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
  11. Speaking of 1975...the 70s are becoming weather of yore. Warm days, frigid nights, big ranges, long dry stretches, low QPF. I’d take the cold mornings if I could get numerous 60s/70 during the day.
  12. MEX has a min of 19° for CON for Thu 4/23. That would break the record of 20° from 1975. When we’re threatening record low mins in this era you know you’re in a cold pattern.
  13. Sounds epic for late April down there. Meanwhile, 44 years ago tomorrow we were in the mid 90s...probably the most brutal Boston Marathon ever.
  14. So here we are on 4/18 and I have yet to hit 60F this month. I had a 60.0F on 3/20 although if you did ASOS 5-min averaging on my data my high would've been below 60F that day. That would push me back to 66.7F on 3/9 as my last day with a high above 60F. Just cheating and glancing at MOS, I could go without 60F for the entire extended period... A month of April here without 60F would be lol worthy. I'm pretty sure Kevin cursed this spring with his early torch talk.
  15. Almost everything we got has now vaporized. Let’s get some sun now and salvage some of the day. Firepit weekend.
