  1. I can imagine it must be more fun beating down criminals at night.
  2. Gaining about a min per evening now. I really notice it free ranging with the birds before sunset. Sunrises start getting earlier this morning too. Next up is the climo min in 2.5 weeks.
  3. Currently the coldest 17.9° of my life
  4. Now we’re onto 300hr threats. GigaSad.
  5. I threw it in last Feb and then got pounded with multiple heavy wet snow events in March and April.
  6. Idk…looks like sustained seasonable cold for a week+…nothing extreme though. It’s more like maritime arctic cold (or at least taint) wrapping around our way from the block.
  7. No one is legitimately giving up on winter on 1/3. lol
  8. Had an inch here overnight too. Then the wind drifted it around. At least the bare spots are sorta white again.
  9. If the groundhog sees his shadow do we get 6 more weeks of actual winter or 6 more weeks of this winter?
  10. Pitchers and catchers report in about 5 weeks
  11. Pushing 1” new in the last hour under streamers sneaking in from VT.
  12. PF deserves it for all of the rain and clouds he has to suffer through in the summer.
  13. Keep hoping the confluence backs off and that we can get more convection in the south than modeled. There’s still a weenie vortlobe that tries to shunt it south at the last minute. Keep that scooter shit streak up in PQ longer.
  14. Polar vortex killed the heavy snow star.
  15. I said most 40-45 with some near 50. There were a couple over 50. The ORH one was pretty good, but it’s 1kft. I don’t see 1 CT METAR over 45mph yet today. The best shifted north into MA and NH today AWT.
  16. If the PV don’t fit it must quit
  17. That still seems high to me. We’ll give it a few days to compare
  18. It’s a breezy/windy day, but it’s been mostly a few mph either side of 45.
  19. Days and days of seasonable cold. Lots of 25/10 type days up here…give or take.
  20. Not a lot of positives in the near term and extended, but maybe something trends better in the LR. But for weenies who can’t handle places south of us getting snow while we’re cold, mostly brown, and dry…maybe those people should close the curtains for awhile, get outside, and enjoy the pond hockey.
  21. Strongest 850 winds are actually up here midday tomorrow. Best down there is around midnight.
