  1. Kind of a meh heat day. Lots of low 90s with comfortable dews.
  2. We did that a lot in previous years, but we’ve had a lot of hawks, foxes, and a fisher around. And no...no business. Just a weird hobby.
  3. Tried that. They’re terrified of it. We just water it down from time to time and they dig holes and lay in them to cool off. I doubled my covered portion of my run last fall and the bamboo has gone wild so there’s a lot more shade in there than previous years. Even that one 90+ day we had there wasn’t a lot of panting. 2018 was a stressful stretch...especially with the heat and dew combo around the 4th. Almost totally clear now. 83.2/66
  4. There’s Mediterranean breeds that handle it just fine, but mine are all larger cold-hardy breeds. Their preferred temps are probably 55-75.
  5. Mine handle below 0° better than 90°. When they start panting out of control there isn’t a lot we can do unless we bring the worst ones into the basement.
  6. Hooksett Agway had some dawn redwoods. First time I’ve seen those.
  7. I do but chickens don’t. And when they’re struggling my day becomes stressed.
  8. Definitely a swampazz line running across SE SNE. The hottest temps should be NW of there today away from the Atlantic taint.
  9. The euro actually sped it up finally to match american guidance.
  10. Wait until fall when it goes dormant maybe? Then try to get as much of the root mass as you can
  11. It’s only meh if E MA is left out of the upper 90s.
  12. I may start a nondamaging heat thread.
  13. 83.7° Not a bad summer day. 75.6/67 now.
  14. I'll be cheering on the most boring month ever with comfortable temps and dews so everyone can keep their windows open, the air refreshed, and COVID numbers hopefully down.
  15. The Hartford "area" has done it once on record and that was in 1917. I'll take the under on a min of 80F there. BOS would be a better bet.
  16. Get me in that eye mixing air down from the upper levels. Kevin would get his heat burst on roids.
  17. Math helps too. Looks like I missed a 0.90” in my calculation and didn’t put my 0.03” in from the other day. I’m at 2.16”.
  18. Relative screw job all around me, but we hold the moisture well here so it’s not like we’re overly dry. I have the lowest total for the month including Belknap and Merrimack.
  19. Low of 60.0° Sad when an AN min feels cool.
  20. That would be a record high min. lol
