  1. Pope likes to be the antagonist unless he calls the system first.
  2. Yeah I think the problem this run was a weaker s/w. It never gets latitude and then just triple points eastward. To have a prayer up here it needs to be zonked and curling toward LI before the redevelopment more E-ENE.
  3. It’ll probably be up here with a deform band way too far north of reality and cold temps throughout the column. Then we verify with 4” of salt.
  4. Yeah I get that too. Night shift on and brightness as low as possible. And then try not to make any noise out of excitement or anger.
  5. It’s possible it may not stop snowing until April.
  6. As you’d expect, the stronger the low the stronger the tuck.
  7. Yeah...any pattern that gets NYC-PHL-DCA excited is generally not great for us. Lots of scraps and sloppy seconds at best.

  9. That s/w is turning negative and that is a potent tight vort. I thought the flow in the northern stream was looking a little flatter with another s/w modeled further south this run.
  10. The paraplegic GFS has consistently looked like the most likely outcome.
  11. I’m glad we learned a lot from the clown maps a week ago.
  12. We’re outside looking in right now, but you know how it goes. A little less confluence and a little more amplification south and it won’t take many bumps to get a fronto band up here on the north side of the QPF gradient. Odd are against it, but we’ve seen it before.
