May 31, 2010 was more similar to this. There was less haze than what we had today though...you could see more blue in the midday sky.

Yeah there’s been some smaller ones. The end of June into early July of 02 saw many large fires in Quebec province. Eventually some plumes made it our way.

It looked like the Japanese flag up here this morning with the mostly red sun around 645am and white/grey haze aloft.
