I’m 50/50 on it. We’ve seen these ULLs and blocks trend weaker or east a bit with time before. We’re right on that edge right now of maybe sneaking away with a few nicer days or a complete shitshow for a week.
Valid 12z Friday. Definite GFS cold bias getting washed away with time. Although it actually looks more impressive in the Mid Atl...trough axis trending west a bit.
While we're talking rivers Franklin was recently given funding for development of New England's first whitewater park...just a bit down the road from me on the Winni River.

Yeah I'm out of the loop on quality for a $120-180 budget...especially if someone is looking for a full station (temp/hum/rain/wind). You're basically in the Ambient/Acurite range.
It’s not ideal...some shit days definitely thrown in. But I like seeing the 850s steadily >0C to eliminate the cold nights. If I get a raw 40F DZ day then so be it.
I hadn’t looked in a couple days, but that Friday cold shot moderated quite a bit. The extended isn’t looking quite as bad either. It’s like all of the cold went poof.
I think they have fairly shallow root systems so the rocks may get too hot in the summer and damage the plants...especially if not established. And obviously the stone is not supplying anything beneficial to the plant either in terms of nutrients and moisture retention.
My road has apparently been closed all day...they’re doing something just down from me. Lisa heard a loud crack and tree fall in that direction this morning. We still have power and internet though. Maybe I’ll check it out later...probably gusting 45-50 right now if I had proper siting.
