  1. Yeah the stink bugs were introduced to PA a couple decades ago. We have some up here now, but our fall outbreaks are usually those western conifer seed bugs.
  2. Yeah this wind can stop now. It was roaring all night.
  3. NAM is just eating it away with the sfc high nosing in.
  4. Curious how much water you have in your pack right now. I think I remember your pack being around 18” the other day? I usually say that the pack quickly likes to get back to 10:1 so it makes sense how those 8” new quickly compact down. I saw it for myself in December with 34” of 20:1 getting cut in half in 2 days.
  5. I’ve burned through a few temp/hum sensors experimenting. Like when I get dew drift I’ve tried baking the sensor to recalibrate it. I wouldn’t do it. ;) My leaf wetness sensor functions as a precip detecting sensor as I have it mounted on a metal electrical box with a 12 volt RV bulb inside to keep it warm and evaporate the precip as it falls. That’s shortened the life of those over the years. I’ve gone through a few anemometers as well. I have to get another one now as my speed stopped reporting. I can probably replace just the reed switch inside, but I’ll just get a new one and fix the old one later. Davis occasionally upgrades sensors so I’ll buy the new options as they come out. Mine’s been up since 2006 so that’s 15 years of some rough weather. I replaced a few cosmetic items a couple years ago too...like a few new rad shield plates, solar/uv mounts, and a new ISS transmitter (mine was cracking a bit).
  6. My setup is over $1k, but it’s my biggest hobby.
  7. May go below 10F for the first time since 12/19. That's insane.
  8. Nice. Saved it. Here's mine...the wind is dead though. Another project for the spring. https://www.weatherlink.com/bulletin/e898c3c1-839e-401a-9af1-4f80b0ef7c0e
  9. Pretty easy to do CWOP as well. You've got the fan so definitely get your station on there.
  10. Yeah...cheap midnight high for us as well. 26.3F a little after midnight, but an afternoon high of 21.4F just before 11am. Most of the day was in the upper 10s. 16.9F right now. No free ranging this evening.
  11. Now it’s a little north of Bermuda special.
  12. Was gonna say the battery is low...hence the message. You have that 123 battery in the ISS? Sometimes on a new station I've seen it not really "kick in" until the sun gets on the solar panel. You're receiving packets though because you're reporting rain. Make sure the temp/hum sensor is plugged into the right spot securely I guess.
  13. You've got the battery in the ISS right? Is the sun hitting the solar panel yet this morning? What's on the bottom right of your console? You should be getting a letter X. Is it an R or L or nothing?
  14. You're using the weatherlink software? You have the ISS dipswitches and the weatherlink set to the same channel?
  15. 0.3"/0.01" overnight. Enough to make me sweep everything down again. 17.7F
  16. I'm trying to think who on the forum is most needing and deserving of it. James maybe? At least the anny would get tested in some good wind.
  17. Yeah I would have, but my dad has it.
  18. 0.2"/0.01" yesterday and a jspin special 1.7"/0.04" today. This stuff should sublimate pretty quickly.
  19. 1.6” new since this morning. Pure fluff. I can probably broom the whole driveway.
  20. Guess what the 12z euro does with it!
  21. 00z v16 looked great too. Obviously it's all in fun. I'd definitely take the over on a trace.
  22. GFS run out of Stein's basement.
