    Been there, done that. No thanks. Pac NW is probably my preferred climo for chickens and plants, but this is home. I grew up loving snow and cold, but it can get in the way of the other hobbies I’ve grown to love. I’m fine with big snows…I just don’t need it taking down trees and wires. My 34” in 12hrs last December all fell nice and orderly onto the ground where it belongs.

    I don’t need my young fruit trees destroyed. A pleasant, dry snowfall will be greatly appreciated. I like me some cold, dense SWFE snow though.

    Drizzle intensity is based on visibility like snow. So 1/2SM drizzle is moderate and 1/4SM drizzle is heavy.

    The long range stuff is fun, but it's not worth getting emotional over. The skill still just isn't there yet...especially when it comes to sensible weather. I salute those that do these forecasts and outlooks so we can keep pushing the science forward, but if it isn't inside 5 days I really don't care.
