  1. After a few windy days 95% of them blow to the perimeter of my yard anyway. Then we just mow and mulch them into the "lawn". I don't see the point in cleaning them every other day when I see how many he still has in the trees.
  2. Yeah...would love this a handful of times in DJF to break the monotony.
  3. 41 at MWN, 48 at Hermit Lake at 3750ft, and then you have 30 at HIE.
  4. Had a big bear here last night before 9pm...wrecked up my garbage cans and ripped through the bags. I'll be happy when they go to sleep soon.
  5. Still 46° with a breeze following a high of 60°. Not fake here.
  6. Yeah pretty good for fall with a low sun angle. 25 to 63 at CON...overperformed on both ends.
  7. Maybe the least extreme location on the subforum for temp changes?
  8. 23.0° Coldest so far on the hill.
  9. Wax on, wax off all of the vehicles first.
  10. Sorry…missed this before. I haven’t had many issues with my white willow, but I agree with tamarack that it loves to drop small branches…especially late winter into early spring. If the area is far enough from your well, septic, sewer, and/or foundation it’ll probably be fine. Agree with tamarack about red maple. Other options would be river birch or bald cypress. I’m a fan in bald cypress in swampy areas. Does the area retain water only during wet periods for a few days or is it semipermanent? I have an area where I grow my pawpaws that will rarely pond up, but it drains within 24-72 hours. Those fruit trees can tolerate that since they’re native to river plains that occasionally flood. But anything more than a few days for those trees will start to damage them.
  11. Just got my post sunrise spike downward to 24.9°. I keep a pesky drainage flow all night and around this time it goes completely calm for like 20 minutes. My theory was that the tree tops start warming that layer while the sfc keeps radiating so the inversion briefly strengthens.
  12. 19/20° at CON, but only 25.6° here. BML 18°. Maple Hollow -4°.
  13. Looks like 20° at MVY…not sure if they snuck a 19° in there.
  14. Yeah a lot of these ASOS sites aren't exactly representative of where people work and live. Some stand way out from other meso sites close by. Bob is finding that out with TAN now. OWD is basically sited in a swamp and then MVY is a little interior island pit.
  15. Sandy soils...kinda like the pine barrens in NJ.
  16. Just saw your tweet to Maple Hollow.
  17. That was unreal. Coronas overhead. Greens, pinks, red all over the sky…even before sunset. Just insane.
  18. My dad said he drove through Derry and there was a coating of white…not sure if it was graupel or legit snow
  19. BML 17...what a pit. Lots of low 20s in the CON river valleys. Glad we don't radiate like that.
