  1. Only the regularly scheduled hourly METARs report the temp in whole degrees F (the tenths of C conversion) in the remarks of the METARs. At FIT those are at :52 past every hour. So when you see them on Mesowest it shows up as 91.0° (raw METAR has 32.8C). The 5 min obs only report in whole degrees Celcius so when Mesowest converts the reported temp of 33C it converts to 91.4°. That’s why it appears to always be 91.4° with an hourly 91.0° over the last few hours. So when you see a long string of 91.4° like this it just means that the ob is 33C which could either be 91° (32.8C rounded) or 92° (33.3C rounded). We have to wait for the 6hr max (in tenths C) at 00z to know what the max was. Chances are FIT hit 92° with so many 33C obs in a row there.
  2. Pics? I like that sweet wooden antique boat of yours.
  3. 75° and SKC. Should push 85° imby by 4-5pm. This morning probably cost us at least 5°.
  4. It’s coming. I’m going to take advantage and plant my last 2 pawpaw trees while it’s cool and moist.
  5. We never really got the warmup here yesterday. Earlier in the week it was progged for upper 70s and I ended up with a high of 69° and it quickly fell into the 50s toward sunset. So we still had the taint of that onshore flow airmass over us to start the night.
  6. I think we’ll be waiting mid to late morning to really break out of this, but the atmosphere will want to push 90°. Get some midday sun and a little mixing and we’ll adiabatically catch up, but as others have said without the full max heating all day we’ll lose a bit off of the potential. Tomorrow still looks like a scorcha.
  7. I’d take 60 right now. 53° and drizzle.
  8. A lot of taint this morning. It may be a slow start for many, but we should make up for it in the afternoon.
  9. It's trying to mix out in CON. We had some sun 15 mins ago, but the clouds have worked back in. Still some breaks to the west though. The cam at home is still socked in and 55F.
  10. Hopefully we mix this crap out soon. Vis is giving me a rage fit seeing eastern sections locked in while the deeper interior is naping.
  11. It kinda creeped me out because after I made the original Hoon joke I went to Hannaford before close and they had No Rain playing as I left.
  12. 1995 His tombstone is technically antique status in NH
  13. Was just about to post "if my uncle had tits..."
  14. GFS is beefing up the dews and slightly lowering the temps as well. I figured that would happen come go time.
  15. That was pretty much my thinking yesterday. Classic day where that CON-MHT-ASH-FIT-LWM corridor ends up roasting.
  16. Meanwhile I will struggle to hit 50F tomorrow.
  17. I think I agree though and that I'd hedge a little cooler at 2m and dewier. Maybe 95/65s instead of 98/58s. But it's going to be a scorcher of a weekend regardless. We're just nitpicking how we get to the oppressiveness.
  18. The EC has 21C over S NH 18z Sun. Goofus is 21C over much of S NH and E MA.
  19. I mean we've seen this before recently where models overdo the BL mixing and dews stay up higher than progged and so thermodynamically we don't meet the expected warming potential. But it's early in the season, we've been dry, and the evapotranspiration is just beginning. If the mixing pans out there's potential there for 17-18C on top of the 850s.
