    It’s a step in the melting direction and no change in water content . If anything, some of it evaporates from the snow surface. A rain or ZR event will knock a pack down too, but will get absorbed in to add more water content/density to the pack.

    LEB was jumping around quite a bit too. You probably didn’t have to go far away from the ASOS to be closer to your -11. Winni looks cold right now on early morning hour rad night IR. I’m not surprised LCI is joining the rad fun right now.
