  1. I think a lot of these nuts snap and want to go out with a literal bang knowing that they’re going to get 15 minutes of national/world media fame if their hit count is high enough. There’s been an exponentially growing copycat element since Columbine as well. When you build up enough hate in you to want to end it and/or kill this is the New Year’s fireworks finale version of it.
  2. 62° at Lost River up at 1800’ too. My low 50s should mix out quickly.
  3. Multiple Boston med flight copters leaving LEW now.
  4. NH state police copter is over Lisbon Falls now after circling LEW for awhile
  5. Today had potential with more mixing. You can see in my map that I posted that the CRV is still struggling a bit from HFD-CEF-EEN-LEB.
  6. Probably the Feb 2010 event. Isles of Shoals into S NH had damaging gusts.
  7. Here are the mins. Those who clouded over before 2am may not have their coolest temp represented (see PF and MVL)
  8. Under surface make your own the plotting page is there. Then I just use 6hr range of min or max temps. But you need to make sure your plot time aligns with when they report…00,06,12,18z. edit…looks like the maps aren’t generating properly right now
  9. We done. Everything has already gone dormant. My potted figs and mulberries already dropped leaves the past few days. I brought the hanging petunias in last night. The banana in the run will be done. The large leaves were all iced up. But yeah, I don’t think I ever said this was a major killing morning? I brought the avocados in, but they probably would’ve been okay. It was more the point about how we define the growing season. Technically, we done.
  10. What'd you have in 2005? 2014 was a great one up here. No power for 2 days.
  11. I don’t think it’s really a cold fail? Possibly just delayed for a day or two…maybe not at all. Details aside, it’s still a similar look with the cold spilling into the Plains and eventually getting advected into the region around the flip of the month.
  12. 46° with a few breaks this morning. Finished with 1.55”.
