I'd be lucky if I've had 5 so far and half of those are just weak rumbles. -
I think it's overmixing with deep SW flow. It's got a dew of 49F at TAN 18z Saturday. I'll take the over on that along with tempered heat. SW flow is decent for CON/MHT/ASH/FIT though. The Chamber returns next week.

Yeah they usually have warmer Augusts than Julys due to the ocean temp lag.

Are there scrolls from former kings talking about previous heat waves? Is there a 250-500 year return period on a setup like this or are we in new territory? I'd assume the Medieval warm period had some great extremes from England to Iceland/Greenland.

It looked nasty in NW MA and then developed the couplet in VT. It's hard to tell out there since they are so far away from all of the beams. -
My point is it's in the same ballpark of extreme heat and isn't quite like what the Pac NW had a year or two ago...I lose track of years now since they go by so fast. An all-time record is an all-time record is an all-time record. I'm not downplaying it nor questioning the climate change factor. They've done 100F more than us now over the last decade.

Oh I agree. Yesterday was great for my trees. I'd take a few more days like than versus the sunny, low RH days we've had. The evapotranspiration has been off the charts over the last month (for our standards). Although we have so many invasive fungal and bacterial issues now that too much moisture can be a bigger problem. I feel like Stein typing that out...scared of too dry and too wet.
