  1. I mean lol at the change in extreme Jul/Aug mins at CON over the last 50+ years. Multiple years with 30s or lower ever month. Multiple years with freezes in August. We enjoy the chill in the interior now when it gets down to 55F. Click to maximize and view at full size...
  2. Definitely cooler air hanging out in QB all summer. We just got on the wrong side of things after early July. But growing up I always expected rad nights well into the 40s in July and August. Now we're lucky to even tickle 49F.
  3. June into early July was yoreish, but we just seem to lose those airmasses by mid July. Extensive losses of permafrost and sea ice doesn't help. All of that sun's energy can go into warming the airmasses in the prairie provinces instead of trying to melt ice. They're modified quail queefs by the time they reach us now.
  4. I figured with the new normals that maybe we could get a string of BN months sprinkled in over the next few years, yet so far, here we are.
  5. September is awesome. Harvest time. Warm days, cool nights.
  6. CON to your area did well. Steined up here again. Hopefully we get a synoptic misery mist day soon. Monday is still looking wedgie for us.
  7. Damn euro was really wet here overnight. We pray, but it's probably wrong.
  8. Hopefully VT leaves me a few drops after midnight
  9. Hot tub together after a long run?
  10. You're a fan of mine if you can get me a winter entirely above 0F and BN snowfall.
  11. CC aside...I hope the RGEM is right about tonight.
  12. Yeah idk...we've always had major droughts and floods. We have a lot more people and a lot more of them crammed into vulnerable areas. I'm generally not on the more extreme bandwagon, but I suppose it makes sense that more water in the column equals more that is precipitable. We tend to live in the moment and get emotionally reactive to what we see in the here and now, but I remember growing up and reading about past floods, canes, heat/cold, and snowstorms imby and wishing we could still get crazy events like that. I'm sure we'll find a way to **** it up eventually though...examples like China seeding the moisture out of the atmosphere for their country.
  13. Did she get you the Muscongus Bay sticker too?
  14. The GFS is still offering up some opportunity for bigger heat in the extended with the threats of some over the top heat plumes. Yeah, they're most likely overdone as usual, but the gist of it remains. Until we lean more cool shots than warm or kill the threats of big heat it's not totally broken yet for me. The euro suite definitely looks more tame with the heat in the extended after a couple of cool shots. If we can sneak some cold shots in the back or side door we can probably pinch off some of those heat plumes before they can really advect in for any length of time. We'll see. You can definitely see the seasonal changes in the modeling though.
  15. Can't wait to watch VT get flooded this evening only to have the storms die overnight for the rest of us.
  16. Nobody wants global warming, but if we went back to the weather of yore all of those people would be bitching about how cold it is.
  17. Nah. Up here they're dwindling.
  18. Definitely warm this evening. Was down to 75° but the wind cranked up and it’s 79° again. Trying to enjoy the last of the warm nights.
  19. @tamarack I just looked at this again and noticed the 8am and 8pm temps given. Unless there were storms both days it seems strange to have 2 straight highs near 100° and then 8pm temps all a hair under 80°. I think those low to mid 90s you showed from other sites look more reasonable.
  20. I just need my pawpaws to ripen.
