  1. 111mph at a home cwop station at Arisaig overnight.
  2. Neither HIE nor BML could radiate last night. That wind is ripping. And considering our coldest 850s were easily supposed to be yesterday morning MWN is currently at their coldest temp of the airmass.
  3. About 20° cooler than xmas eve right now. 45°
  4. My coworker and his dad went up to 1st Lake this morning to fish. Must be raw and dreary out there on the water.
  5. It hit 32° at the Hermit Lake snotel station at 3750’ too.
  6. Looks like the front is about to hit. Sunny and pleasant right now, but some convection is racing in.
  7. Cleared the stratus when the tipper was at 0.02”. After that we got an additional 0.87” through the tipper, yet the stratus is flowing over. Time to see what the issue is.
  8. Up to 0.72". Decent rates of 1-3"/hr for a little while. A bit more to go so hopefully we can get over an inch.
  9. Best rain missing north and south again. Should be a decent drink despite the screwgie though.
  10. Just in time for sunset. Now we can fog back up before the fropa.
  11. I mean I'd take those return rates with a grain of salt since we're relying just on cores, but with a warming climate maybe we get above that threshold which allows a higher frequency of majors getting up to our latitude.
  12. Looks like they did the work for me. https://today.tamu.edu/2015/02/23/monster-hurricanes-have-hit-new-england-for-2000-years/
  13. Need to check in with ginxy and the ancient sediment cores to find the return rate.
  14. There's some drier air pushing into VT at 850 on the progs and vis seems to corroborate with it. It'll probably push through here just in time for sunset so we can radiate.
