  1. I don’t think anyone was questioning 100s today so I don’t even understand the debate.
  2. Sorry 109°. I was thinking 109° was the official record there with the +1° 1 min ob.
  3. EWR stands out many times (110° in 2011 was ridic), but their obs tend to have validity due to their “terrain”. It is what it is. People live in the paved forest so it’s representative to a lot of people.
  4. I don’t think they’ve done a very good job maintaining MADIS in the last couple of years either. No proof on that, but I see a lot of analysis errors when I check my site.
  5. Central Park has had issues for awhile. The ASOS has totally changed the climate record there.
  6. I always look for stepwise changes and not necessarily the actual error magnitude.
  7. Some of that is going to be the EWR concrete jungle influence giving them higher readings versus surrounding towns with more vegetation. MADIS will almost always think they’re too high. I haven’t followed them enough to get a feel if they’re running higher than normal though. Put up a bunch of U90s in a row down there and EWR will be 100+ on most of those days.
  8. BOS, OWD, BED, BVY all 99 maxes through 18z. DAW 99, MHT 97, CON 96, ASH 96, SFM 94 I still think DAW is too warm.
  9. The wind has really ramped up here in the last 30 minutes. Lots of 99s likely now in E MA including BOS.
  10. BDL 93/61 Big disappointment so far in CT
  11. Yup…98° at BOS and OWD although they are riding that line of too much southerly component like you mentioned. Looks like ORH got their 90°.
  12. Eek has pics of the CME right over his head. Was amazing down in Bedford where I was working. I haven’t seen them with the visible eye since.
  13. 96° and WSW 17 at BVY. Scorchah at the beaches
  14. Lots of debris up here and more advecting in from NYS. That may hold us down up here, but it looks like all systems go in SNE.
  15. DAW has been shooting way above their expected MOS numbers most days. SFM, just over the border, is closer to their expectations.
  16. DAW has been running hot. I’ve been noticing it all year. They never ran as the warmest in the state.
  17. Low 63.9° Window Status: Currently OPEN
