Agree to a point...especially SNE. But it's always been a race between mixing out at the sfc and the cold fropa up here so any lag in mixing out hurts us.
It’ll be fine here soon. Mud season is just a drag in CAD land. All of the sun’s energy goes toward melting and evaporation which are both latent cooling processes. Next week we’ll start the drying out process.
I'm just referring to CON which is obviously a rad pit. It's been difficult to get ideal rad cooling conditions with a 45 dp airmass the last couple of decades.
Pre-1990 we used to average about twice as many hours in the 40s at CON in met summer than we do now. But I don't think those times are walking through that door anytime soon.
