Got up to Perfect Circle Farm today to pick up some pawpaws near MPV airport. Nice country up there.

Lots of warm temps this summer. Thankfully dews were relatively low minus that 1-2 week stretch.

Pickles laughed, but I was being serious. That warm period from about 900-1200 enabled the vikings to live up on Greenland. The world as a whole was a bit warmer…probably warmer waters for stronger canes as well.

zzz UPDATED GEOMAGNETIC STORM FORECAST: NOAA forecasters have downgraded the current geomagnetic storm watch from category G3 (strong) to category G2 (moderate). This is in response to a lack of significant CME impacts on Aug. 18th. CME impacts are still possible on Aug. 19th and 20th, however, especially from yesterday's partial halo CME, described below. High-latitude auroras remain likely as we enter the weekend.

It's kinda like when you're at 25" in March and you start cheering on futility.

Kev's area hasn't been too bad over the last 45 days. It's more E CT into RI and Scoot to the Cape while TAN has had that local max. The Cape has been a desert.

Considering some spots haven't had 1.5" going back to June I'd say yeah, a local high.
