  1. Hot tub together after a long run?
  2. You're a fan of mine if you can get me a winter entirely above 0F and BN snowfall.
  3. CC aside...I hope the RGEM is right about tonight.
  4. Yeah idk...we've always had major droughts and floods. We have a lot more people and a lot more of them crammed into vulnerable areas. I'm generally not on the more extreme bandwagon, but I suppose it makes sense that more water in the column equals more that is precipitable. We tend to live in the moment and get emotionally reactive to what we see in the here and now, but I remember growing up and reading about past floods, canes, heat/cold, and snowstorms imby and wishing we could still get crazy events like that. I'm sure we'll find a way to **** it up eventually though...examples like China seeding the moisture out of the atmosphere for their country.
  5. Did she get you the Muscongus Bay sticker too?
  6. The GFS is still offering up some opportunity for bigger heat in the extended with the threats of some over the top heat plumes. Yeah, they're most likely overdone as usual, but the gist of it remains. Until we lean more cool shots than warm or kill the threats of big heat it's not totally broken yet for me. The euro suite definitely looks more tame with the heat in the extended after a couple of cool shots. If we can sneak some cold shots in the back or side door we can probably pinch off some of those heat plumes before they can really advect in for any length of time. We'll see. You can definitely see the seasonal changes in the modeling though.
  7. Can't wait to watch VT get flooded this evening only to have the storms die overnight for the rest of us.
  8. Nobody wants global warming, but if we went back to the weather of yore all of those people would be bitching about how cold it is.
  9. Nah. Up here they're dwindling.
  10. Definitely warm this evening. Was down to 75° but the wind cranked up and it’s 79° again. Trying to enjoy the last of the warm nights.
  11. @tamarack I just looked at this again and noticed the 8am and 8pm temps given. Unless there were storms both days it seems strange to have 2 straight highs near 100° and then 8pm temps all a hair under 80°. I think those low to mid 90s you showed from other sites look more reasonable.
  12. I just need my pawpaws to ripen.
  13. Sure...I never said it was ahead of normal. Maybe it's a little early based on the new normals, but nothing absurd. The average first 32F at the BML and HIE ASOS sites is 9/18 and 9/14 respectively. The ASOS sites tend to run cooler than the surrounding area on rad nights though.
  14. lalaland goofus cancels the growing season in NNE.
  15. No real cheapies either. It was almost 4 straight...28, 27, 27, 27...but the last day the record was 25F. I even pulled 3 straight freezes here.
  16. The raw form definitely has 78F, but it all seems a little over the top.
  17. The smooth stepdown into winter has begun.
  18. +4C 850s here Thu afternoon. Once the sun goes down that comfy 70F breeze will quickly be 50F and hoodies. Goofus is trying to get low 40s in here by midnight. Brief warmup and then another cold fropa Sunday before a Monday wedge event.
  19. NOWdata section of all NWS pages. HVN monthly CDD...
  20. I meant NWS GYX. Their NOWdata site lists Farmington as 100/65 and 99/M for 9/22-23 although I'm aware that the raw forms list 9/23 as 99/78.
  21. I saw CON 91, PWM 89, and BTV 87 for that date. Can't recall many days in recent times during the early fall where that trio was that hot and northern ME was still almost 10F warmer. I see Farmington has 100F for the day before as well. GYX has a missing low for 9/23 so there must be some questionable data.
  22. Low 70s at CON and BOS on New Year's 1876 has to be up there. And then the 90F on 3/31/98. We've done 100F+ before on 9/2/1953, but yeah, 103F 5 days later is another level.
