July has arrived ... the Meteorologically defined mid summer month

Looks like ISP from years back when they had a foot of rain in one morning. -

“Only” 0.71” yesterday. The water table is back to the surface, but thankfully none of those insane totals south and west of here. We lush. -

To be fair that's fairly representative of their surrounding natural terrain. Honolulu airport looking like the middle of the Sahara is a different story. -

And yeah...I may move a lot of this to banter later. If you guys want to continue the discussion I'd suggest bringing it up in that thread. -

Agree on some things, but I'm always in favor of things getting cleaner. Did people get pissy in the 70s when they stopped leaded gasoline? All of these mill companies used to dump all of their waste products down rivers decades ago before it was regulated. We actually have to have laws and fines against littering because too many people would rather trash up the planet. I'm old enough to remember seeing cigarette butts lined along roadsides wherever you went in the 80s. Sometimes people need a little kick in the butt to go in the right direction. -

I fell asleep without making a follow up post to my original one, but I’m not trying to poopoo gas powered tools or singling out 2 strokers. But I do believe you have to start somewhere with making these products more environmentally friendly. I have a 2 stroke brush cutter, but only because an electric isn’t powerful enough yet to do what the product needs to do. The electric technology is there for a simple weed whacker or leaf blower though. The mowers are starting to get better too, but I have over an acre to mow with some brush in spots so I’m sticking with gas for now. -

F&G is coming out to put it down. I think it has a pretty bad head injury. The rehab place I called said the state doesn’t allow them to directly take deer from the public. Bummer. -

Alive but not moving much. Seems like a bad head injury. Waiting to hear back from the wildlife rehab center. If I don’t hear back soon I’ll call fish and game. -

A fawn was just hit almost in front of our house a couple hours ago. 2 hours later we have it laying on our lawn. It's breathing and can move its legs and head, but it can't get up. Maybe just a bad concussion? -
Remembered these guys the other day. Anyone remember them from the mid 90s? They bounced around playing at different New England colleges and venues frequently.

When will (did) you install/ turn on the AC this year?
dendrite replied to Cold Miser's topic in New England
I hate the AC blowing on me so it’s in the spare bedroom and we let the cooler air spill across the hall. So to get our bedroom down to 74 I need to set the AC in the spare to around 70. -
