  1. Looks like it should be flipping there soon. It’s an area of poor radar coverage. There was just an mPing ob of snow near you.
  2. Pretty impressive wedge…getting the snow crystal development below the inversion, but no lift to grow the crystals beyond the grain stage.
  3. Any pics of radial ice? Doesn’t look too bad there compared to river-west.
  4. That’s got to be low level snow aided by salt nuclei and the CF. The mid level warmth is way north of you.
  5. Are those young birches? That’s their typical growth habit up here.
  6. The snow line is crashing SE through C VT now.
  7. Sometimes I forget how special GC is.
  8. You’re just used to being up all night
  9. SPECI KPSM 161728Z 06012G21KT 030V100 3/4SM R34/P6000FT -SNPL BR BKN006 OVC011 01/M00 A2952 RMK AO2A PLB28 PRESFR SLP000
  10. One ice weenie too warm. One ice weenie too cold.
  11. Yeah some areas of good lift coming in. Could be some chunks of mangled snow mixed in with the sleet.
  12. That’s probably a sign ZR is mixing in.
  13. Those in the low 20s are likely still mostly/all sleet. Those climbing into the upper 20s have a little latent heat added at the surface. So a lot of times you can guesstimate the PL/ZR line where you see that low 20s/upper 20s gradient.
  14. You should want the snow to stay on for more damage.
  15. Maybe a little salt nuclei helping out too?
