  1. Absolute deluge. It can stop raining now.
  2. I like when I look back at old COOP forms from the early/mid 1900s and see "aurora" in the notes. You know damn well they were seeing it with the naked eye back then.
  3. That scares me off. Not messing with that with my chickens and all of the bugs and worms they eat. I have a ton of japanese beetles. I want something that just tackles them.
  4. Pretty sure it would’ve washed down to the river today. Soil temps are in the upper 40s so I wasn’t sure if there was a preferred temp to get them started. I need it to get soaked in before my chickens free range too. Guess I’ll have to research it a bit. It seems like an easier option versus nematodes.
  5. 2.31” and counting. The backyard is underwater.
  6. You can always count on tblizz and lava to get antsy when they see everyone to their west getting drenched and they’re the last to get it.
  7. A tweet from 4/21. I mean wtf.
  8. I get my weather from Stein tweets
  9. Is it too early for milkyspore up here?
  10. 0.85” and a lot more to go. Already ponding in the BY.
  11. Opie and Anthony was pretty good back then
  12. Did Stein stop hyperventilating after the 00z euro?
  13. Don't do it. I have it in my chicken run and maintain the rhizomes, but it's aggressive. But yeah, it got top killed again this year. The rhizomes store a lot of energy so they will just put up a bunch of shoots this spring...they just won't be as tall. If you want a bamboo privacy screen look into the clumping bamboos (fargesia). They are more cold hardy as well. The running ones are primarily phyllostachys although there's a US native one that is more shrubby in the SE (arundinaria gigantea...aka Canebreak or River Cane bamboo). That will run too though.
  14. COD has avg cloud cover for the NAM, GFS, and a few others. Look under precipitation products. https://weather.cod.edu/forecast/legacy/
  15. Maybe. I've had -17F a couple times here and they flowered after that. This obviously had wind with it too so maybe the flower buds got desiccated.
  16. My pear trees are already breaking bud...before my forsythia.
