  1. The lack of snow south and west of us will play a role if/when Scoot’s posted pattern takes place. There’s going to be a lot less of a modification to said airmass and there will be an early green up in the deeper south and TN valley. We don’t have much snow to modify it for long either.
  2. My low for the winter was 4.4° with about 30 seconds under 5° under calm conditions. I was essentially a 7b growing zone this season. I could’ve planted pomegranates last year and had them survive the entire winter.
  3. That doesn’t mean much for us. That will fizzle towards VT. We need the secondary to crank early.
  4. It felt frigid this morning. Down to 16.7°. Pretty impressive to get that departure down to +2.
  5. Hires models are a little interesting. HRRR redevelops it far enough south in the GOM that we back the flow easterly for a bit while that potent ULL/vort moves in behind it.
  6. Something like that. Upper 30s. I'm not home to add it up.
  7. Pretty “cold” too. Feels like deep winter with wind chills near 0F.
  8. I think the avg this time of year around those reporting stations is 30”ish. This looks a little worse than 11-12 was on this date.
  9. I’m locking in the 35° white rainer on tax day right now.
  10. Shitshow commute after the early morning squalls. 0.3” new
  11. H7 front on the 00z was pretty much right where the band setup. It had about 0.50” QPF in HFD. HFD and BDL are 0.51” and 0.37” so far respectively. The ratios were really high in that fronto. I’ll be interested to see the cocorahs w.e. numbers.
